Students in years 8, 9 & 10 can volunteer to become a Sports Leader. As a Sports Leader students will assist in a variety of primary schools’ sporting competitions, festivals and events across the city.

Our Sports Leaders are trained by School Games Organiser, Mrs Lightfoot who is based at the Academy. Sports Leaders have many opportunities throughout their time here to assist at Primary School sporting Competitions and festivals. Some of which are held here and others at local primary schools and sports clubs.

Some of our leaders also benefit from further training from Staffordshire RFU, and taking part in the Young Netball Umpires Award, Tennis leaders award as well as the Sports Leaders Young Leader Award.
