A Welcome from our Head Students

Summer Bridge Programme 2023

We are currently working on a programme for this summer. More details will follow shortly. Below are details of last year’s programme.

The Summer Bridge Programme in 2021 was a Massive Success.

The programme offers a focus on literacy and STEM, but also, an opportunity to build relationships with their new peers. In addition, the programme is designed to encourage all students to make a successful transition into secondary education given the fact, that they have been unable to attend our Academy as normal.

We are really pleased that over 100 children attended our summer Bridge Programme in July. This was a brilliant opportunity for our new Year 7 students to meet their peers and build some working relationships with staff.

Students learned African drumming and dancing, created wind powered rockets, tested vitamin C in fruit, learned the witches rhyming couplet from Macbeth, survived a very windy day at the beach in Llandudno and dreamed big in London on The London Eye.

We cannot wait to see our new students in The Academy in September.

The Academy believes in developing the person as a whole so they can accomplish educational excellence."
