The Academy offers trips through-out the year. We believe that trips can greatly enhance the curriculum provision and will serve to motivate students and staff. The school has a strong commitment to the added value of learning beyond the statutory school day and beyond the premises by the use of carefully planned educational visits. This is part of the school’s role in providing a broad and balanced curriculum that promotes spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development and prepares young people for the opportunities and experiences of adult life.

What is the disciplinary process at Trentham Academy?

The behaviour policy is based around students being given the opportunity to put their behaviour right through a restorative approach. If they fail to do this, then further sanctions follow, including detentions, time away from other students and, eventually, fixed term and permanent exclusions.

Does Trentham Academy have any awards schemes?

Students are rewarded for meeting expectations with Credits and with Merits for going above and beyond expectations. These contribute to individual certificates and also to the House Competition. Students who consistently show a positive Attitude to Learning (A2L) are able to participate in rewards events.
