Prior to teaching, I had a successful and enjoyable career in retail management but I will always wish I had been a teacher sooner. My journey at Trentham began in the science department and I later became Lead Practitioner for Teaching and Learning, with a focus on new staff. I joined the senior team as an Assistant Headteacher and then as Deputy Headteacher, responsible for Curriculum and Assessment, before assuming the role of Head of Academy, overseeing the day-to-day operations at Trentham.

At the heart of Trentham Academy are our core values: Respect, Responsibility, Optimism, and Integrity. These principles reflect my values and shape every aspect of school life. They guide my commitment to nurturing both academic excellence and personal growth. While I am proud of our strong academic outcomes, I believe that education is about far more than exam results.

I am excited to take on the role of Principal from September 2025. I have worked at Trentham for 15 years and have been a part of the academy’s amazing journey in recent years as part of the senior team. Our shared vision and values will ensure a smooth transition and I will continue to work tirelessly for the very best outcomes for our students.
