I have been a teacher of mathematics since 2006, and joined Trentham Academy, as a middle leader in 2011. I have had the pleasure of leading our very successful Mathematics and Statistics department from September 2018 to December 2024. I’ve been part of the senior team since September 2022.

Mathematics has always been a joy for me, and seeing students being able to apply logic to solve problems, makes teaching maths my vocation. I also have a love of data, allowing students to apply maths and stats to real world information, linking to many future careers – I’m a proud data geek.

I’m a lifelong learner, and aim to inspire a love of learning in our students. Seeing students grow and thrive at Trentham, from children to young adults is a privilege. The development of their character, and all of their achievements, curricular and extra-curricular, is inspiring for both the academy’s and our students’ future, and I look forward to seeing this develop even further.
